If your pet wants to go out or come in, all he has to do is press the Pet Chime to let you know. Keep your dog or cat from scratching up your doors by training him to use the Pet Chime. This wireless pet doorbell can be used indoors or out -- it's effective from up to 100 feet away from the chime. Shaped like a paw, the Pet Chime transmitter is activated when your pet steps on or pushes the paw with his nose. The pet doorbell receiver inside will sound in your choice of two tones: a dog bark or traditional ding-dong. The Pet Chime receiver can be wall-mounted, or stand on a counter or shelf. Made of weather-resistant plastic, the pet doorbell requires one 9v battery (not included) for the paw and 3 AA batteries (not included) for the chime. The Pet Chime includes set-up instructions as well as tips on how to train your pet to use it. Benefits of the Pet Chime: Wireless Pet Chime works with both dogs and cats Once your dog knows how to use this pet doorbell, there'll be no more scratching, barking or howling Portable Pet Chime works up to 100 feet away from the receiver

We bought this for our 4 month old boxer and put it by the sliding door. It took about 4 weeks to train her to use it. 5 months later, she uses it faithfully to let us know it's time. If we ignore her first ring, she insistently rings it over and over to let us know to hurry. Great product.
